Install Noteland

Noteland is a web app you install straight from Safari. No App Store, no account, nothing to sign up for.

1. On the iPad, open noteland.app in Safari.
2. Tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
3. Launch it from the new icon, and use that icon from then on.

The first launch needs a moment online — the app says “Preparing for offline use…” and then “Ready to use offline”. From that point it works with no connection at all.

Updating

Updates arrive quietly — no banner ever interrupts you. To take one:

1. Launch the app online and leave it open for a few seconds.
2. Close it fully — swipe up in the app switcher. Reloading is not closing.
3. Launch it again. You are on the new version.

The … button → About Noteland shows which build you have — and when a new version has already finished downloading, an Update button appears right there, which does it in one tap.

Other devices

Noteland opens in a desktop browser, and Chrome or Edge can install it. But it is designed for iPad and the Apple Pencil, and the iPad is where it is tested. Desktop and Android adaptations are future work, honestly labelled as such.
